British born, Nigel started SYL in Florida in 2004 and subsequently in Japan in 2005 and is now the president of SYL Worldwide. he and spends his time equally between Japan and UK, with frequent stays in Monaco and South of France. Nigel is a former superyacht captain and has plenty of experience cruising in Japan as well as Europe, USA, Caribbean and Asia.

Nigel also is owner of AZURE YACHT CREW HEALTH (Florida, Europe, Hong Kong, Japan) and FATHOM SUPPLY (USA), CREATION USA and is a licensed Yacht broker working with YACHTZOO (Monaco) & YACHTZOO JAPAN. In 2012 he started YOTFIX a repair and project management company in Florida which he sold in 2018
